Have South Korea North Korea Missile Nuclear Doubt

Seoul - So far, North Korea (Korea) is always touting its nuclear weapons capability to threaten the United States (U.S.) and its allies. However, South Korea (ROK), an ally of the U.S., doubted the ability of North Korea. Mainly related to ballistic missiles loaded with nuclear warheads.

"North Korea has conducted a nuclear test 3 times, but it is doubtful if the North was able to make a warhead small and light that can be loaded into a missile," said the South Korean Defense Ministry spokesman Kim Min-seok as reported by Channel News Asia on Friday (04/12/2013).

Kim responded to reports of U.S. military intelligence, the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA), which is submitted to parliament the U.S., recently. The report says there is a possibility North Korea will launch a nuclear warhead in unexpected time.

Carousel according to Kim, North Korea believes strongly that the ability is still far from being touted the DIA report. According to him, the ability of North Korea's new approach to create a miniature stage warhead that can be loaded into the missile.

In his explanation to the local media, Kim emphasized that there is no observed movement of North Korean soldiers in recent days. "There is no big change," he said.

The DIA report also cold response by the Pentagon and a number of other senior U.S. officials. Not much different from South Korea, some in the U.S. still doubt if it is associated with the ability of North Korea's nuclear weapons.

"Not quite right to believe that the North Korean regime has been tested fully, develop or demonstrate such a nuclear capability," said Pentagon spokesman George Little, responding to the intelligence report.

"North Korea has never demonstrated the ability of (weapons) and we do not believe they have the capability at this time," said a senior U.S. administration official who declined to be named.
