Obama: Israel Dibenarkan Serang Suriah untuk Lindungi Diri

In an interview on Saturday (4/5) with Spanish-language network Telemundo, President Obama did not directly comment on reports of an Israeli air strike against Syrian missile shipments that are believed to Hezbollah. He said Israel would allow "confirm or deny the attack whatever they have done."

Israeli officials said Israel had launched an attack on Syria, targeting the delivery of Syrian missiles that allegedly transported to the militant group Hezbollah in Lebanon.

Israeli officials speaking anonymously, but the Israeli government has not officially confirmed the air strike took place. Officials in the area said the attack was not directed against chemical weapons.

American officials told Western news agencies that there is no indication Israeli warplanes entered Syrian territory space for the attack. According to them, the attack occurred late Thursday night or early Friday morning.

They stated that the target seems to be a warehouse. Syrian officials told news agencies that they were unaware of the attack.

Hezbollah alliance with Syrian President Bashar al-Assad. The militant group, which is backed by Iran, waged a brief war with Israel in 2006. This will be the second time Israel launched an air strike against Syria this year. States attacked Israel in Syria convoy carrying weapons to Hezbollah are believed to last January.
